Draft Local Plan-Part 2 Site Allocations

Representation ID: 20140

Received: 27/02/2020

Respondent: Miss Sue Shepherd

Representation Summary:

DRA1 - Whilst I would wish this not to go ahead, I can only hope the building work is NOT allowed to commence until the Northern Broadway (NDR) has been completed, linked directly to the A47 towards King Lynn. Also, that the traffic calm down Carter Road has been agreed (discussed with residents) and put in place.

Draft Local Plan-Part 2 Site Allocations

Representation ID: 22599

Received: 16/03/2020

Respondent: Historic England

Representation Summary:

Whilst there are no designated heritage assets within the site boundary, a grade II listed building, 4 Manor Farm Close (a former C18th red brick farmhouse with pantile roof) lies immediately to the west of the site. Any development has the potential to impact upon the setting of this designated heritage asset. There is currently no mention of the listed building within the policy or supporting text or of the need to conserve and where appropriate enhance the significance of these nearby heritage assets.

Suggested Changes:
We suggest that the policy be amended to include reference to the listed building and the need to conserve and where appropriate enhance them Suggested wording: Development should conserve or where appropriate enhance the significance of the grade II listed 4 Manor Farm Close (noting that significance may be harmed by development within the setting of an asset) through appropriate landscaping, setback and design
