Too many house destroying wildlife. No infrastructure and extra pressure on existing facilities and why does Norwich have to expand and destroy the village way of life?

Full text:

This is just an extension of Norwich's urban sprawl. No plans for schools etc and will just add to the pressure on the local hospital. The area is full of wild life, Kites, Buzzards plus badgers etc etc and this will be destroyed all for the profits of local landowner and local college. It will also destroy the life style of the villages of Honingham, Colton and Marlingford for no positive reason. The Country Park and wildlife proposals are only a sop to public opinion to try and negate opposition as the huge increase in cars etc etc will over ride this completely. Where will the jobs come from to satisfy some 3,500 extra workers without them travelling in to Norwich. Build on brown field sites in Norwich and leave us country people to the country

Another urban sprawl that is not wanted by the people who live in the area.Ruination of Rural Norfolk and more Norwich commuting.

Full text:

To allow this development is a travesty of common sense. At present it is a rural part of Norfolk with little habitation but a lot of rural beauty, diversity and heritage. To allow this to become a creeping sprawl that causes even more traffic flow to and from Norwich with all of the associated problems and the loss of more rural Norfolk is totally wrong. The planners and decision makers must look at brownfield sites in Norwich and not in what is rural Norfolk.Democracy must be given full respect and people who are not developers with vested interests are against this. This is a beautiful charming and diverse area which must not be lost to a creeping urban sprawl that in itself causes problems.

Respondent: Easton Parish Council

Representation Summary:

At this time we support the reasoning of no safe connection to the main part of the village however as the A47 is in the process of being improved and the Parish Council is working with Highways England to provide a suitable safe route for pedestrians and cyclists across the A47. We do not feel it should be discounted until Highways England have finalised their design plans for the A47 improvements in this area.
