I am delighted that the views of local residents have been taken into account and that site GNLP2051 has been deemed unsuitable for development. I wholeheartedly agree that the local landscape and wildlife would be severely adversely impacted should any development take place either now or in the future, and that the site could never provide safe access either onto Taverham Road or Macks Lane.

Respondent: Taverham Road Action Group
The members of Taverham Road Action Group (TRAG) agree that site GNLP2051 is totally unsuitable for development and fully support the decision to recommend that it should be rejected as a possible site, along with two other sites that have been put forward in relation to the south side of Taverham Road. Access to and from site GNLP2051 would be extremely hazardous, and building on a site that is currently mostly agricultural land would be detrimental to the environment, to the Wensum Valley, and to the residents of Taverham, who currently use Macks Lane for walking and dog-walking.

Building on site GNLP2051 would have a seriously detrimental effect on the environment, the Wensum Valley, and the well-being of the residents of both Taverham Road and Taverham as a whole, so I am delighted that the officers looking into this proposal have come to the same conclusion and rejected it as a possible site for development. The agricultural outlook from Macks Lane is a valued local commodity which should not be destroyed by the greed of a developer.

I am extremely pleased this site has been regarded as being unsuitable.
The planners and local parish council have listened to the views of many people in and around Taverham, taking into account many of the points made.
The fringes of the Wensum valley, Macks lane is an important amenity to local residents and wildlife alike.
This site should remain as unsuitable now and in the future.

- Dangerous access on to the highway from the proposed site.
- The proposed site will have a severely restricted view turning onto the
Highway (Even with splays) as it is currently on an uphill camber.
- One narrow pavement hardly wide enough in place for people to pass.
- There should be no more encroachment in the the fringes of the Wensum Valley past the current settlement boundary, affecting wildlife and the enjoyment of an open space for local residents
