Draft Local Plan-Part 2 Site Allocations

Representation ID: 19979

Received: 18/02/2020

Respondent: Action for Harleston

Representation Summary:

Harleston, is now, a medium sized market town. There has been substantial building in the area raising the number of residents markedly, beyond the infrastructures ability to cope.
However, the infrastructure has not kept pace with the increase in residents.
We have multiple problems relating to transport, drainage, schools, sewerage and employment opportunities, and medical facilities.
Each of the new estates seems to have been only considered in isolation. Nowhere, has anyone carried out a major Cumulative Impact study, so all the changes that have happened so far, can be evaluated before further building is undertaken.

Draft Local Plan-Part 2 Site Allocations

Representation ID: 22821

Received: 12/03/2020

Respondent: Durrants

Representation Summary:

We have been working on submissions through the Reg 18 process under the GNLP. We wish South Norfolk to know however that work has been undertaken in relation to the existing above allocation for 11.77ac (4.7ha). Initially services feasibility investigations were made but more recently investigations with a partner of South Norfolk, Blue Sky Developments, have been undertaken as to how the site can be brought forward in access and services terms these being crucial in releasing the land for development. The owners remain committed to a sale of the site and would be happy to answer any questions reference this project.
