Draft Local Plan-Part 2 Site Allocations

Representation ID: 19802

Received: 30/01/2020

Respondent: Dr Matthew Morley

Representation Summary:

I support the site is unreasonable for these reasons:

The land slopes to a narrow beck and flooding would increase. Back Lane is a very narrow road with no space for widening and unsafe for pedestrians. The site is outside of the village and building would be detrimental to the overall character of the village.

Draft Local Plan-Part 2 Site Allocations

Representation ID: 20406

Respondent: Karen Lawrence

Representation Summary:

I agree that this site is NOT suitable for development. Access via back lane is very limited and there is insufficient village infrastructure to support any development. The land is sloping so that any proposed development would increase surface flooding into camping beck and increase flood water back up increasing the risk of flooding in levishaw close. The track is already subject to frequent flooding. This site is important habitat as a hay meadow and should be maintained as such. In the neighbourhood planning consultation excercise residents identified that this area should be protected & not built on
