There needs to be clarity on how the demand for pitches is being calculated as this proposal conflicts to multiple different reports shared and referenced within the consultation documents. I object to any additional pitches until data shows there is a requirement, multiple documents suggest there is no need for this significant growth. See full comment below.
There is a contradiction of reports and data for this point on the demand of pitches required. The July 2021 submission to Secretary of State ‘states’ 64 pitches required by 2038.
GNLP5014 is located in Broadland. In January 2023, Broadland District Council (BDC) references the BDC Development Management DPD 2015 document stating “study indicated a very low level of need (3 permanent pitches) within Broadland district”
Summary 7.8 Greater Norwich Gypsy and Traveller Accommodation Assessment (GTAA) June 2022 report states only 29 pitches are required within 16 years to meet PPTS need.
