Respondent: Mr Robert Barber

Representation Summary:

The development here is right adjacent to woods and beside the new NNDR by Reepham Road and Brands Lane. It is likely that any Industrial area would only increase the volume of traffic that uses Brands Lane. This is a very narrow single track road that has around 500 vehicles travelling along it most days. There are two large brown field sites within Felthorpe and others sites already situated on Fir Covert Road why build on a green field site here?
The views of Felthorpe Parish Council has never been sort regarding this proposed site.

Respondent: Drayton Parish Council

Representation Summary:

This site is outside the settlement limit and is remote from either Felthorpe, Horsford or Drayton and is unstainable and would rely on private means of transport. Any development would result in a lose of rural character of the lane.

Respondent: Mr Craig Turner

Representation Summary:

Following zero commitment from the council regarding the reduction of traffic using brands lane (access only) and the dangerous ''rat run'' this road has become (multiple accidents that I have reported to the council to no avail, more serious accidents than on your register!)I feel any extra housing at this site shall only add to this problem. Besides the woodland being an important habitat for animals (including the endangered song thrush) I believe other sites towards the city centre and still following the NDR make much more sense. Please consult the Parish Council...thank you.

Respondent: Mr Brett Walker

Representation Summary:

1. Would prejudice a 'no development' policy along the NDR. Development along the NDR will undo a key objective of the NDR to reduce traffic on radial roads to and from the city to reduce congestion and provide the opportunity for sustainable transport measures.
2. Isolated, sporadic, piecemeal.

Respondent: Felthorpe Parish Council

Representation Summary:

Felthorpe Parish Council objects to the proposal for the following reasons: the development would cause extra traffic down Brands Lane which is a narrow country lane and already unsuitable for the amount of traffic using it; the location would be removed from the main parish and so parishioners would find it difficult to integrate into the community; there would be no facilities or buses for the new properties; the site are close to Drayton Drewray and would affect these vital wildlife sites.
