Representation Summary:

You refer to us having a post office we don't. There are no services in Gt or Little Plumstead except the School which is full. Such large developments will mean hundreds of cars as the bus service does not run early or late enough for work. There are no shops so you have to travel for essentials. The high schools are full and the GPS are full. We need services more than housing. The school can't expand as the development on the old hospital site has come up to meet its boundaries not allowing for any future proofing .

Respondent: Great and Little Plumstead Parish Council

Representation Summary:

The Parish Council objects to this site allocation. The Village does not have the infrastructure to support such a large application, which also is contrary to our service village designation.

Full text:

A development of this site is contrary to the "Service Village" designation
which Little Plumstead has, where developments should not exceed 20
dwellings.

The Parish does not have the infrastructure to support this large proposed
development. There are no doctors within the parish or shops. The Primary
school is currently at capacity and within the already ongoing developments
will stay at capacity.

The exit and entrance onto this site would either be through Salhouse Road or Blofield Corner Road, neither of which are suitable. Salhouse Road becomes the national speed limit just before the start of this development which makes it highly unsuitable for any kind of entrance or exit. Blofield Corner Road is simply a country road and is not designed to take such a large volume of traffic.

By developing this site it will be taking Grade 1 agricultural land.

Representation Summary:

I would support the Parish Councils objection. In addition to their comments it is outside the village development boundary as defined in the Village Plan. It is also on good grade agricultural land which cannot be replaced once lost.
