We need facilities such as shops and post offices and an expansion of the school along with better bus services if such development is going to happen.

The Parish Council objects to this site. Any exit for cars are onto two busy roads, accidents would become frequent. The community was against this site.
The below objections have already been submitted in relation to this site:
The Parish Council would like a cap on the number of houses if this application does get approved but we are still objecting to the density of the houses which isn't inline with our Neighbourhood Plan. It is not the case that the Parish Council are more concerned with a cap, rather than its something else we asked for, especially as the applicant will not be the developer.
Open spaces are a major concern for the Parish Council, we have seen various developments were there is not sufficient amenity land. We do not believe that this application should be approved and then they sort out the amenity land. This should be confirmed before any approval is given, as with other developments once approval seems to be given they then seek to change the layout etc. If as they say the it was a presentational issue then the plans need to be clearer, the Parish Council needs to know what is amenity land in the application. In relation to the allotment point, this will require parking and a road at present no consideration is given to these points.
The Parish Council would like to know what assessment has been done which confirms an exit/entrance of 84 houses onto Salhouse Road will be safe? We have our own SAM2 which was up for approximately 3 weeks and I have attached a copy of the data. You will note that a high level of vehicles use this road and we can only assume this will worsen as other developments which are already going ahead in the surrounding villages start being occupied. The current residences of Little Plumstead already note exiting or entering onto Salhouse Road as a dangerous activity.
At the public consultation which was held it was reported back to the Parish Council that all attendees were against this development. As you will note from the feedback submitted there were various points of concern which were raised. This development is not supported at all by the community and that needs to be taken into account.
The Plumsteads are seen as "service villages" within the Norwich Policy Area and Joint Core Strategy. his is defined as suitable for small housing developments (10 to 20 dwellings) subject to form and character considerations. Within the development there also seems little acknowledgement of the need for starter and retirement homes or any self build provision to balance the housing mix required in the area.
