By building on the land behind Cottinghams Drive, it will have a long lasting detrimental effect on the local area and people of Hellesdon.
I fully object to any housing to be built on the land behind Cottinghams Drive. As a parent to two young boys and a dog owner, we use this land daily. It provides exercise for all the family including our dog Poppy. Which the government encourages all the time to keep fit and healthy in an age where child obesity is on the rise. The space also gives me time to think, make friends and the feeling of being alive. The field is just not, it's a way of life, which helps with my daily depression. I will be deeply sad and depressed if houses where to be built on this land. The local school Arden Grove and doctors are already at full capacity, so how do you think they will be able to cope.?Building on this land will have a long lasting detrimental effect on Hellesdon!!!!!!

This land is currently designated as recreational and includes a park and allotments, both within the parish of Hellesdon, for these reasons it should not be considered in the site proposal GNLP 0332 for housing under Horsford.

This is green space which is needed and well used by the community, would put pressure on local roads which are already at breaking point due to the volume of traffic and would increase pollution levels when they should be reduced, pretty much under flight path so unsuitable for houses as there has been light aircraft crash close by, also there is scientific evidence that living under a fligh path is also known to cause health implications such as high blood pressure and stroke due to noise pollution and air pollution.

This is essential recreation land that we cannot lose. The allotments are highly valued by residents without any gardens and the park is a safe green space used by many dog walkers. Any development would remove the green buffer for Hellesdon, increase pressure on facilities and amenities and add to severe traffic congestion. There are also safety factors with the site being directly under the airports flight path not to mention noise from the airport, NDR and industrial site. I strongly object.

I object to this site being developed for housing for the following reasons.
1. It is currently a recreational area which I use regularly to walk with my dog and family. This would be a great loss to all dog owners who use this facility. Hellesdon is very limited for recreational space so this site should not be considered.
2. Additional houses will put a strain on the already busy amenities in hellesdon including schools and doctors.

I strongly support the council's proposal to maintain this land as Green space for Hellesdon. This valuable land brings the local community together and enables a safe place for children, dog walkers and residents to use.
I object to the plans to build homes on the boundary of Hellesdon and Horsford. Hellesdon is a small parish with few conveniences, all of which are currently at saturation point. It is unethical to think that building new homes in this locality will enable sustainable growth. To be honest, this will overcrowd our schools, GP surgery, dentist and most of all out roads

This area ( Cottinghams Park) has only recently been allocated to the people of Hellesdon as an important recreational space. It is vital to not only preserve this open green space, but to improve it for both people, pets and wild life. Ultimately it is proven that one of the best medicines for the stresses of modern life is excercise, fresh air and natural spaces. This maintains the areas high quality of life.
The area cannot accommodate more housing, there is neither the road infrastructure or the required local facilities.

This is agricultural land with footpath access for recreational use. It is entirely unsuitable for any development whatsoever as it is airport over shoot and an aircraft has actually crashed in this field in the 1970s.
It has no road access and would be totally unsuitable to adjoin the reepham rd which is already overcrowded and would put huge pressures on overloaded Hellesdon services and facilities.

My Objection to the building of more houses on this land is as follows: It will be doing away with valuable recreation ground, Hellesdon Parish Council fought hard to get this. The schools and doctors in Hellesdon are already running at capacity, with the 1000 houses being built on the golf course more housing in the area would not be beneficial to the residents and put even more pressure on the already stretched schools, doctors and amenities. I also feel that all the green belt is being taken away, we need more in place for the wildlife around the area.

I would like this area to be kept as recreational space, it is important for all the community. We live next to it and it is invaluable for me and my children to be so close to the countryside and nature. It should not be included in the GNLP 0332 plans for housing as it is Hellesdon not Horsford. I strongly object to any plans for housing on this site and have put these forward in an objection to Horsford. Hellesdon is not set up for the amount of houses proposed in the area as a whole at the moment.

The recently launched Hellesdon Neighbourhood Plan (supported by 88% of residents at referendum) has the vision statement of Hellesdon as being '...one step away from a vibrant city and one step away from the Norfolk countryside'. Any further development immediately North of Hellesdon would in effect remove access to the countryside, in terms of dog walking facilities, permissive paths and visual aspect. These are important and cherished highly by residents due to the fact that Hellesdon is already overdeveloped with a lack of green open space inside it's boundaries.

Land designated as recreational so must be kept as such.
To Develop this land for housing would mean more traffic in the vicinity of a school for young children. It would also impact on Doctors services, schools and roads which are already overstretched.

I feel that community land is rare is Hellesdon. This land should be protected for local people and I would rather see more community land to the north of Hellesdon, not less. I am also concerned about Hellesdon being able to cope with any extra housing. We are already having a 1000 homes on the golf course and hospital site and I feel enough is enough as there is not enough parking and services as it is and travelling is already becoming difficult

My main reasons for my OBJECTION are as follows.....
1, Additional strain on already over subscribed schools and healthcare facilities.
2, Loss of recreational space for children and local dog walkers.
3, Additional traffic.
4, To see the allotments go, which is currently used by locals and a real community hub.
5, To see a beautiful picturesque space turned into yet more houses!
6, Heavy plant machinery next to a very local school, which would cause serious disruption.
7, A sense of community gone.
It would be very sad to replace this lovely green space with more houses.
I, as well as lots of other use this space regularly to walk our dogs, and in the summer for our children to play/ride bikes etc.
There are not many green spaces available, and its so nice to have somewhere on our doorstep which can allow this.
Hellesdon is currently a small parish, but if it continues to expand (ie all the houses currently going in on the old golf course) like planned it will loose all sense of community.
The schools will suffer as they will not be able to meet the new demands, which inevitably means our children will suffer.
The doctors and dentists will not be able to cope with the excess demands as they're already over subscribed and it's already a struggle to make appointments.
The roads will also become extremely busy. This is already problem which will certainly get worse and make everyone's commute already living here harder and longer.
It will also be very sad to see the allotments go. This for some is their pride and joy, and a space where a community meets. For some people this can be the only chance to get out and meet others, taking this away would be devastating for some!
Please take this, and all other peoples views into consideration when deciding what to do. I know it would be a real blow to a lot of locals and a really shame to see such a lovely picturesque area turned into yet more houses!!
