GNLP 1020 A cemetery application was turned down because of bad access and egress to the site, also because of Norwich Airport. Take off flight lines, remember the aircraft crash years ago. The planning applications to build houses on any of the land owned by R.G Carter is complete madness and detrimental to public safety.

Representation Summary:

Housing proposed on Cottinghams Park and surrounding area to the north up to Manor Farm includes an area under the flight path to Norwich Airport which it was assumed could not be built on. Strongly object to housing being built as would destroy beauty of area and take away opportunity for enjoyment by dog walkers and other users. There is a shortage of open space in Hellesdon; also surgery and local schools are already full. Proposal to build houses here should be reconsidered.

We are writing this letter about the proposed houses to be built [sic] on Cottingham's Park and all surrounding area up to allotments at top of Bush Road and up to the farm. This includes [the] area under the flight path for Norwich Airport and [we] thought [this] could not be built under. we do not want houses built here: it is a lovely area and somewhere to enjoy open spaces. We are asking you to please turn down the application [sic] for building these houses. We do not have many green spaces in Hellesdon and we walk dog there every day. It would take away enjoyment for lots of people like us. apart from this the doctor's surgery is so full one cannot make appointments which is terrible and the school's full as well. We would therefore [ask you to] reconsider and think again about houses [being] built here.

Representation Summary:

We do not feel that the plans for these areas should go ahead. With the houses been built at the old golf course Hellesdon has taken its share of housing already. Traffic in Hellesdon is already a problem and can not handle more houses and cars.

Our children go to xxxxxxx Schools and they are already over subscribed. The junior school had to put on an extra class for year 3 this year. I worry as well how the High school will cope. Its already difficult to get an appointment at the doctors surgery so there is no way they can take on the additional people these houses will bring.

We need to protect our green areas as they are important to help reduce pollution. They also give local residents areas to walk play and socialise.
Hellesdon will be a sad place if these are removed and I worry about our children's futures.
