To take working arable farmland, when we already import far too much grain and associated items from abroad,is really not an option.Brownfield sites need to be used up before we start to allow farmers to sell off their land for profit. They chose to farm,if they want to retire then sell that farm on to someone who wants to continue to provide food for our population.Services are already stretched in Pulham St Mary and enlarging or replacing the doctors' surgery and school will take time, and land to expand onto,so there's no quick fix.

We can confirm that the site has been put forward to the Greater Norwich Growth Board as a suitable, available and achievable site as part of the emerging Local Plan and during the Regulation 18 consultation in 2017. It is our strong contention that the site represents a suitable opportunity for future residential development in Pulham St Mary. The site should therefore be assessed having regard to updated evidence hereby presented and considered for allocation in the Joint Local Plan. This representation should be read alongside drawing no. 302484-30-200-A-30 Proposed Site Masterplan hereby attached.
Please find attached representations made on behalf of our client Mr R Cole in relation to the above site, along with an indicative masterplan for how the site may come forward. The original site location plan is attached for reference.
