Respondent: Swainsthorpe Parish Council

Representation Summary:

Swainsthorpe Parish Council are concerned about the impact of any further development in the village, given the lack of facilities and the already strained infrastructure. Access to the A140 is difficult with large queues forming, particularly at rush hour. The parish council strongly feel that the infrastructure needs to be improved before any further development is considered.

COMMENT RECIEVED DURING STAGE B

I would like to object to any development on the above site which has been put forward.

My reasons are that any increase in the size of The Vale will impact on all those who live here already and will increase the vehicle numbers using our existing driveway as there is no other form of access to the proposed development. It will also add pressure to the existing services and amenities to the detriment of those who live at The Vale already and will disrupt everyone's lives whilst being built.

This piece of land was supposed to be used for the good of those who live at The Vale, building houses on it will do nothing of the sort.

The proposal will also have a negative effect on The Vales property prices.

Representation Summary:

I object to the proposed development of green arable land to industrial use. I over look this area from my family home and feel that is does not comply with the 'other' village that is outline in the JCS. There is an abundance of wildlife in the area.

The change of use to industrial will also cause traffic chaos onto an already, busy, accident prone A140.

Representation Summary:

The amount of traffic, dangerous proposal of access roads. Destroying landscape and historic nature of small village.

Goes against page 86, policy 16 of a small project. Hundreds even thousands of people who use site/through road.

Strongly object to the proposals as it would totally destroy the historic village of Swainsthorpe.

I object in respect on all these GNLP sites references. Swainsthorpe does not have the infrastructure to support any and all of these developments.
The traffic amenities both in the village and on the A140 will lead to Chaos and disasters.
