Representation Summary:

In summary , this development would overload village services, encourage excessive vehicle use, and be dangerous to those choosing to walk.

Full text:

Whilst accepting the need for some growth in Cawston, the services in the village need additonal investment to support this growth.
With this site in particular, the pedestrian links to services in Cawston are not good enough . The site is further from the village centre than other proposal. Access to the village and its services is along a major road with dangerous bends and no footpath - and over an old railway bridge which has been hit by vehicles on a number of occasions in the recent past . Closer to the village centre Access would be along the High Street , which has inadequate footpaths with no potential to improve them.
In summary , this development would overload village services, encourage excessive vehicle use, and be dangerous to those choosing to walk.

Representation Summary:

I believe that this proposed development would be a big mistake for our Village. There is no infrastructure to cope with the potential new residents and as for saying it will include a new Care Home, why does somebody not open the Care Home that we already have purpose built in our Village which has remained closed since being built from new 10 years ago? If allowed this development will have a large detrimental effect on the people that already live in our Village and I believe that this application is not really fit for purpose and should not be granted.

Representation Summary:

Heavy traffic damaging property not built for such use.

Full text:

IT is unclear how the main High Street road near the junction with Church Lane will be affected by heavy traffic. The houses there, the footpaths and the road widths are totally unsuited to HGV lorries.
My 1700's house is already shaking with increased heavy traffic, no efforts have been made in that area to slow traffic, divert it, or protect this historic part of the village.
If no additional heavy traffic will pass along this road for the proposal then I have no issues, but if there will be, for the 2 year period stated, then I object and request that alternative arrangements are made.
