Representation Summary:

I object because of the detrimental affect on the green open spaces. We have already lost a very large area from the golf course and we need a buffer between Hellesdon and Horsford. Also there is enough traffic on the roads and the infrastructure cannot accommodate anymore. The general services ie doctors, transport, schools, dentists etc are at breaking point.

Norfolk County FA would be interested to understand the green infrastructure being offered by this proposal, and where football within Hellesdon may benefit, whether that be via the development of new football facilities, or supporting the enhancement of existing football facilities within Hellesdon.

GNLP0332R - 0334R - I understand that there is a need for new housing, but I feel these sites are not right. Hellesdon is already a traffic problem at times, and with new houses to go upon the golf course and hospital sites it will only get worse. All the extra homes on the about sites, adding in the possible extra 1,000 for sites of Reepham Road surely is just too much for Hellesdon?
The road networks is too busy as is, schools at capacity, medical facilities also. The green spaces are not big enough as they are. Surely Hellesdon is already doing its bit for housing? If all above was to be addressed. To a satisfactory level, then I think the land could be considered. But I do believe Hellesdon is already stretched and these developments would not help Hellesdon is already stretched and these developments would not help Hellesdons problems.

Hellesdon has done it bit in providing housing we not need anymore.

Representation Summary:

I live on the farm where the proposed houses are to be built. Living so close to Hellesdon I use their facilities which are already over subscribed and the building of a further 600-700 residents this will make a huge impact on schools, doctors, dentists which are now living here. There is also a lack of green space available. Traffic on the Reepham Road into Norwich is also a major problem and comes to a bottleneck already without extra developments being made.

The building of new residents along the whole boundary line between Hellesdon and Horsford will effectively be adding to Hellesdon although the new resicences would actually be classed as Horsford. I doubt that people will use Horsford's facilities as it is already a nightmare entering and exiting Horsford by road. Hellesdon would have no direct access to the countryside if this land was built upon. It is also of great concern that an aircraft could potientially crash into the development as it is directly in line and extremely close to the runway.

The excess traffic coming through Reepham Road will impact my Business. The Reepham Road at current is very Busy during 7-8.30 am and 4.30-6.30pm. For any person to cross the road is very challenging trying to avoid being run over with cars blocking traffic jam. This development will also affect health from pollution.

GNLP0032R + 0034R - The amount of houses proposed will put a lot of pressure on doctors, schools and local transport.
It will also increase the traffic flow, with enormous building works, traffic, the pollution in the local area will increase dramatically and effect the health of local residents the doctors in the area are already stretched so any more pressure on them will be even worse for local residents, schools are also full in the area so how many extra schools, doctors and dentists surgeries are proposed in the new scheme, if none it is not practical.

The site is in the parish of Horsford but remote from the village centre and is adjacent to the parish of Hellesdon. The cumulative detrimental impact of the submitted developments off Reepham Rd on both Drayton and Hellesdon is unacceptable. This land should be alloacated as green space to help Helelsdon meet the shortfall of open space as dicated by BDC policy.

Drayton Parish Council discuss the consultation at its monthly meeting on 6 December 2018.

The Parish Council fully endorses the view of CPRE and in particular the request not to reward existing landowners with more allocations when previous sites have not yet been built out. The Parish Council has seen a number of windfall sites being granted permission in the parish and these sites should form part of the housing target, not as an addition to it.

There are three new sites which affect the Parish.

GNLP2106

Although predominantly in the parish of Taverham, this site would have a determinantal impact on Drayton too. The additional vehicle movements 70 dwellings would generate on Taverham Rd and potentially on the Fakenham Rd is unacceptable. The slope of the land towards the River Wensum would cause serious surface water flooding issues on Costessey lane and beyond. The proximity to County Wildlife and Special Scientific sites means this location should not be considered for housing development.

The road on heath crescent isn't suitable to take more traffic. To enter Cromer Road and Fifers Lane from Heath Crescent is an nightmare. The volume on Cromer Road and Fifer Lane is still immense.
Reepham Road isn't big enough for the volume of traffic it will bring into the village.

It's a problem to get an app. At the doctors so adding more housing is making it worse. The A&E will be overrun with people who get an app. With the G.P.
Green Space we need for relaxation and health helping to relieve depression and stress. Saving app. With the G.P.
Not enough local school to take more children.

Representation Summary:

After the unfortunate decision to allow Persimmon Homes to build 1,000 of the lowest quality and grade of houses on the Hellesdon Royal Norwich Golf Club without any substantial improvements to the local infrastructure, it is inconceivable that anyone would want to continue to build or develop even more sites around Hellesdon before assessing the impact to the local community and the facilities and the utilities that will come just from the completed White Rose Park site once it becomes populated over the new few years. There are already drainage and flooding issues around Hellesdon even before the current developing 1,000 homes are populated for example.
To go ahead with any more of these newly proposed developments will forever change Hellesdon for the worse and it is obviously far from the best interests of the local residents. As a local resident who is already alarmed and dismayed at the current White Rose Park development and the impact it is already having on our daily lives, let alone how much more severe it will become once the homes are populated, I strongly oppose these newly proposed sites for the decimation and ruining of Hellesdon.
