It is very important to maintain the Wensum Valley as a green corridor extending from the countryside into Norwich. It is a beautiful landscape feature which gives a rural feel to Taverham, Drayton and Costessey. As Greater Norwich expands, it will become increasingly important and would have immense value for recreation if a riverside footpath or bridleway was created. This particular site is in the heart of the Wensum Valley and the view of the valley across the site from Taverham Road it the view that is most often seen by Taverham residents.
