Representation ID: 12894

Received: 03/02/2018

Respondent: Mrs Melanie Garrett

Representation Summary:

The development contravenes the Brundall Neighbourhood Plan. There would be unacceptable levels of traffic conjestion in Brundall village and also at the access roundabout to the A47. The proposed access to/ from the site is onto Brundall Road, which is unsuitable and would be dangerous.
The village infrastructure cannot cope with a large influx of additional residents without large scale investment

Full text:

I object to this proposed development. The proposed development contravenes the Neighbourhood Plan for Brundall.
The only access from this development is onto Brundall Road, which is unsuitable for the additional levels of traffic which would be generated from the proposed development. In addition, the additional traffic would lead to heavy congestion, at peak times at the roundabout at the top of Yarmouth Road/ Cucumber Lane onto the A47. There would also be congestion in Brundall Street.
The village infrastructure; doctors, dentist, school, nursery etc are already under strain from the additional residents living in the The Pastures and Mallards developments and more residential development would impact severely and fundamentally on village life.
