There are several reasons to object to this proposal - infrastructure is clearly not adequate as the only possible access is via Breck Farm Lane and onto Kingswood Avenue before linking to the already overcrowded A1067.
Access is not possible onto the NDR or Fir Covert Road due to existing buildings, but could be possible over the Marriots Way bridge which appears to have been constructed well in excess of that required for a footbridge / bridleway and could possibly actually support vehicular traffic.
At present, the site is an effective buffer between the NDR and the existing upper part of Thorpe Marriott; this semi-rural area is well used by walkers and close building to each side of the Marriotts Way would not be welcomed. Sound attenuation for the NDR would also be an issue.
The eastern part of site 337 would be a more realistic proposition - the existing road network from Felsham Way always appears to have been designed to lead to further development to the north but objections regarding the loss of semi-rural open spaces and buffering to the NDR remain.
