Representation Summary:

Strongly object to the doubling of the size of Thorpe Marriott with no extra infrastructure

Full text:

Site 0337 for 1400 houses = 2800 extra people minimum and all that's offered in return is a primary school and a 'local centre' whatever that might be. This development would double the size of Thorpe Marriott and turn Taverham/Thorpe Marriott into a small town rather than the village it claims to be and is way outside Broadland's settlement line. The existing infrastructure of roads, schools, surgeries etc would not cope with this growth; they hardly cope now with the current number of residents and congestion of the arterial roads into Norwich is severe at peak times. There would be no jobs created in the vicinity so increasing congestion further.
This land, currently farmland, is 'landlocked' and no access or egress routes have ever been made public. This site is much used by local residents for walking and as a route to gain cycling access to Marriott's Way.
