Representation Summary:

Description of village as a service village is inaccurate.
Further development at this end of the village is not needed. Development would have detrimental impact on quality of life for home owners/ residents on burlingham road whose homes currently enjoy countryside views. Further loss of good quality agricultural land in the village for disproportionate number of new homes is unnecessary.

Please note. The information about the village is not up to date. Facilities in the village have reduced significantly in recent years. The garage/car sales closed priot to 2017. The shop/post office and one of the pubs, which was also a take away closed in 2017. The other village pub closed early in 2018.The description of the village as a service village therefore seems inaccurate.
There has already been a disproportionate amount of development at this end of the village (some of this development is yet to be built.) and further development is unnecessary before 2035.
The proposed site is not practical due to chameryhall lane being a fast road up to the A47 used by cars, lorries and emergency vehicles and the proximity of the existing junction with burlingham road would be an issue from a safety point of view.
There would also be drainage issues for existing houses on burlingham road if there was development behind them due to the sloping land.
The proposal is to build on good quality farm land which is unnecessary.
Further development would have an adverse effect on the value and desirability of existing properties on burlingham road, which at the moment have countryside views including beautiful broadland sunsets which would be destroyed and residents quality of life affected if this unnecessary development is allowed.
