The Kitchen Garden of the Old Rectory does not have a direct access to the highway, there is a existing right of way through my garden which then runs from the back garden, closely passing the side of my house and then out to the Norwich Road through my front driveway. My house and garden (The Glebe House)is within the conservation area, and my back garden is laid to grass, Mr Reeve (the promoter) has asked me to lay the 'right of way' to a hard surface. I have explained to him that this would contravene the terms of the conservation area. My boundary with the kitchen garden is a Grade 2 listed high brick wall which is in the ownership of the Old Rectory, I believe this historic wall is a significant aspect of the townscape and should be protected at all costs.
