We live opposite the proposed site , and our concerns are as follows
Taverham Road will not be able to cope with the extra traffic this development will create ,especially at school time , as even now the road is normally blocked with parents parking to pick their children up.
The river has already flooded this year and blocked Cosstesey Lane for almost a week , this project will have a massive effect on the river , as there will be little land left to soak up the rain water .
The impact on the wildlife and their habitats will also be a disaster , we often see deer , birds etc from our windows, these will disappear from the area .
Wensum Valley is an area of natural beauty and of such importance to Norwich , why would anyone want to ruin it .
Overall we believe Norwich has been overdeveloped already , and seen major growth in the last 15years, with little employment opportunities , do we really need a City full of unemployed people which will create more crime.
Norwich will have to invest major finance on the infrastructure , with new and improved roads or it will grind to a halt.
Personally we have moved here from Cringleford and had to endure constant contruction noise, dust and traffic , this will be worse as everything will have to come down Taverham Road , and will cause chaos , this area has a large elderly population and I believe many will find it very distressing and upsetting .
