Received: 19/03/2018

Respondent: Mrs Gemma Hampton

Representation Summary:

My parents live on Back Lane-this is submitted on their behalf.
Previous planning permission for a smaller project here was refused.
Old Rackheath was subject to a no new build policy-what has happened?
No mains drainage & no gas supply facilities.
Its prime agricultural land.
Vehicle access to Back Lane is restricted due to narrowness & poor condition. Access is poor & no passing places. The Lane cannot cope with large construction vehicles and additional vehicles residing at these properties.
No amenities-it is fully rural.
It will decrease property value, as rural views at the front will be gone.

I fully object to the proposal. My parents are residents of Back Lane and have no internet access so I am submitting this on their behalf. The last time planning permission was sort for a smaller development on Back Lane it was refused. Old Rackheath was subject to a no new build policy, so what has happened? There is no mains drainage and no gas supply facilities here so building additional housing is completely unsuitable.
The area is prime agricultural land. Vehicle access to Back Lane is restricted now, due to the narrowness and poor condition. It has terrible access to get in and out of and it is bad enough if you meet another car now, as there are no passing places, let alone having to deal with the additional traffic and larger vehicles associated with building these new dwellings, along with the vehicles, which will reside at these properties if they are built.
This part of Rackheath has no amenities, it is fully rural. My parents have chosen to live here for peace & tranquillity. A large development, will decrease their and others property value, as their rural view at the front will be gone.
