This land collects water from a large area and water travels along the valley into a main drain along Norwich Road, out through Damgate and into the river network. Parish councillors say that his main drain is always full so not sure the system could collect any more water. Drainage would need to be carefully managed to ensure no issues further down the drainage network.
The proposed road link from South Walsham Road to Norwich Road via this land is essential to reduce traffic movements, especially if The Windle becomes unusable or is closed after the dualling of the A47.
