Draft Local Plan-Part 2 Site Allocations

Representation ID: 20376

Received: 05/03/2020

Respondent: Wroxham Parish Council

Representation Summary:

Wroxham Parish Council endorses the findings of the GNLP report. Such a development would be inappropriate for the current road access. Access from the site to the A1151 would cause further delays to an already over saturated route. Any road improvements would have a deleterious effect on the riverside nature of the location as it adjoins the River Bure.

GNLP0041 20 dwellings: Wroxham Parish Council endorses the findings of the GNLP report. In addition to the financial difficulties highlighted the site is even more problematic due to dual ownership. The two owners, Wroxham Football Club which owns the land the club house is built on, and Trafford Estate which owns the bulk of the site including the pitch are unlikely to come to a joint decision on the future of the club and the site based on their recent history. Such a development would also be inappropriate for the current road access. Access from the site to the A1151 would cause further delays to an already over saturated route. Any road improvements would have a deleterious effect on the riverside nature of the location as it adjoins the River Bure.
