Draft Local Plan-Part 2 Site Allocations

Representation ID: 20475

Received: 07/03/2020

Respondent: Mr Raymond Smith

Representation Summary:

(Changed from support to object as respondent is actually objecting to the categorisation of the site as unreasonable in the GNLP, suggesting instead that it should be a preferred option)

This proposal (GNLP0126) is an ideal opportunity to deliver a high quality housing development.
The site is well situated to the existing settlement and can be delivered immediately.
There are no issues of access. This proposal would be a natural extension to the Village, which would be sympathetic in scale and layout without the threat of further development.
The site should be the preferred housing site for Cawston, it is sustainable and well located for employment opportunities, which can be accessed, on foot thus being advantageous to a reduction in carbon footprint.
A deliverable, contained opportunity to enhance the Village.
