GNLP.1045 is suitable for high-density housing development, perhaps over 50 units per hectare, given its low landscape conservation value and proximity to the railway station. Since there are limiting factors to the scale of housing growth possible elsewhere in Diss, this site is a prime candidate for high density development. It is one of the only sites where this kind of development would be justified in landscape terms. Also, Diss needs to maximise the number of housing units at sites such as this to mitigate adverse impacts elsewhere on more sensitive sites.
