Draft Local Plan-Part 2 Site Allocations

Representation ID: 21021

Received: 15/03/2020

Respondent: Mr Jacob Ecclestone

Representation Summary:

The decision to designate site GNLP2104 as “unreasonable” is itself unreasonable. You claim that, if developed in its entirety, the site would be “too large for the scale of development needed in Diss.” Given that the whole point is to find land for 700 new dwelling, it is absurd to reject a potential site because it is too big.

You reject the idea of using part of this site, saying that “there are concerns about achieving satisfactory vehicular and pedestrian access.” That means you are not willing to redesign the junction of Factory Lane and Brewer's Green Lane.
