Outside the settlement boundary. The village is defined as a service village in the Joint Core Strategy. Development goes against policies 1 & 2 of theSE and policies GC4 and EN4 of the DMDPD which seem to ensure that new development protects environmental assets. Water Lane is a narrow road and is suitable for the amount of traffic a large development would cause.
