Access to Mereside from either direction is already dangerous when joining from either Hunstead Lane direction or The Street. There is no footpath & elderly & young families living there already have to be extremely aware of the occasional bad driver! There have been near misses!
Increased traffic at those junctions, especially the one with Hunstead Lane could become a " blackspot" for motorists.
Also, being close to the meres where many ducks waddle freely, the likeliness of them getting squashed increases - more wildlife decreasing !!
