Representation ID: 14152

Received: 16/03/2018

Respondent: Mr peter samain

Representation Summary:

To date no infrastructure improvements have accompanied the large scale housebuilding in this area. If further large scale housing development is to continue as proposed then it must be contingent on concomitant local infrastructure and services capacity improvements as well.

Full text:

With continuing large scale housebuilding in Loddon including approx 250+ houses already approved and built (or in construction) over the last 2 years what is being done to improve local infrastructure ? There have been no parallel road, parking, school, doctor/GP facilities and general infrastructure etc., upgrading to match these ongoing increases in population. The one planning gain supposedly made part of the latest 200 house development next to the Doctor's Surgery (a new roundabout on the A146) does not appear to be proceeding. No other planning gain improvements have been forthcoming associated with these recent developments.
In addition South Norfolk Council's recent contribution to local infrastructure improvement is a proposal to de-commission (ie turn off) 31 of the street lights in Chedgrave.
