This development would significantly increase traffic along Beech Avenue and Ringland Road, which are already considered ratruns and are unable to sustain the volume of traffic currently experienced, particularly next to the school. Would also impact substantially on the Beech Ave/Fakenham Rd junction which is already dangerous, also more traffic may be funneled along The Street, Nightingale Drive and Sandy Lane (residential roads). There would additionally be further strain on the existing amenities (particularly the Doctors Surgery and Dentist) which are already struggling. Until the NDR is completed through to the A47, this development should not be considered.
