Respondent: Mrs Claire Willingham

Representation Summary:

I strongly object to this proposal. Is all green space to be taken away from the next generation? As someone in Hellesdon who lives right next to the lovely current green fields my young children enjoy playing in throughout the year it would be extremely detrimental to us for these to be replaced by yet even more housing. Hellesdon, its services, schools and roads will definitely not be able to cope with the amount of houses proposed in this area as a whole at the moment.

The roads around Hellesdon are not appropriate for even more traffic, try getting around here anytime near rush hour and you will see the problem already, let alone with thousands of homes wanting to be added to the area across Hellesdon.
The fields give us an identity between Drayton and Horsford. Why this is coming under Horsford I don't know as it impacts mostly on Hellesdon.
Are there going to be new schools, doctors and other community facilities, I strongly doubt it, so again the community suffers, my children suffer. That is what angers me, my children's school, healthcare and road safety will all be put under more strain which has a negative impact on them.

I see that it is in the airport safety zone. The planes fly directly over these fields which hopefully will put off any potential buyers when they realise the noise and potential risks they will be exposed to especially as the airport plans later and earlier flight times in the future.

Yet again more "afordable" housing that will be snatched up by landlords charging high rate private rents. When will the government realise more council housing needs to be build if anything? I feel the proposal is detrimental to Hellesdon and it's residents, it would be such a shame to loose more of our precious green space to more pointless housing.
