Full text:

Swainstorpe is a small village with a single narrow country road running through it that cannot be easily widened. There are no services within the village (eg shop, school or doctors surgery). Access north on to the main A140 into Norwich is difficult as it stands and heading south from the village on the A140 is extremely difficult at peak times. More traffic coming through the village and attempting to get on to the A140 would be potentially dangerous. Development in the village west of the railway line has been very limited. There has been no new site development west of Orchard Cottage for hundreds of years. This would involve extending the village envelope into green fields from which there would be difficult access onto a narrow road. The nature of the village would be transformed adversely.
