Representation Summary:

I support plans that respect our environment and neighbours. The Burgess plan doesn't but appears to stem from greed. Plans for an industrial park with 200 plus vehicles and retail outlet, using the already congested A140 is wrong, especially when the planners have similar sites close by. The site in Swainsthorpe is cheap farm land and will make the shareholders of Ben Burgess enormous profit but at the cost to our village and our quality of life. There are already built up areas in Norfolk; it makes no sense to ruin small hamlets which gives Norfolk its charm.

I would like to see Norfolk aim to protect the environment, reduce pollution and control and manage development, to respect for our environment and our neighbours. The Burgess plan does none of the above but appears to stem from greed. A standalone industrial park with 200 plus vehicles and retail outlet, all lit 24 hours a day, with dozens of vehicle movements hourly on the already congested A140 is wrong, especially when planners have designed and allocated new, modern sites for business and industrial use close by. This site in Swainsthorpe is cheap farm land and will make the shareholders of Ben Burgess enormous profit but this will be at the cost to our village, the local environment, and our quality of life. The impact to the users of the A140 will be enormous, and potentially dangerous, not to mention the impact on the environment and wildlife. There are already built up areas in Norfolk; it makes no sense to ruin small hamlets which gives Norfolk its charm.
