Access to and from this site would be extremely dangerous, whether from Taverham Rd or Macks Lane, due to poor visibility, speeding vehicles, proximity to Shakespeare Way and lack of footpaths. It would involve loss of agricultural land and moving the current settlement line so sets a precedent for further development along a pleasant rural lane which is enjoyed by local people. It is close to the Wensum, an SSSI, and is in a high-impact Groundwater Protection Zone, so the environmental consequences could be disastrous, including run-off into the river, plus the loss of large, established trees and associated wildlife.
