This proposed development would swamp the existing village. There is no school, shop and limited buses. The nearest trainline is 12 miles away. The village was bypassed years ago to ease traffic, a development this size would create new traffic problems. Motorists already use Wortwell as a short cut and exceed the speed limit at the same time. The Waveney Valley is an AONB, and an increase of houses at this level would have a negative effect on tourism. The area is currently rich in flora and fauna, and a huge increase in population would directly affect this diversity.
