I have no objection to a small, ribbon development that emulates the existing village, BUT what is proposed would swamp our community. My main objection, is the very likelihood of flash flooding on the Low Road. Wortwell, built on a flood plain, is finely balanced. Several times each year many of the gardens, on the River Waveney side of Low Road, succumb to flooding, this usually occurs several days after heavy, prolonged rainfall - the water taking time to penetrate the surrounding land. Any large development above this area would inevitably cause faster run off, flooding the Low Road.
