Respondent: Mr Peter Leech

Representation Summary:

The last decade has seen significant development in Harleston, which shares its amenities with Wortwell and already schools, GP and dental services struggle to cope.

High and Low Roads, Wortwell are poorly maintained: Surfaces are crumbling; drains are continually blocked, leading to flooding. Residents of the development would enter and leave it via these roads, dramatically increasing wear and tear. More surface water would reach these roads, should the land between them be built on.

The Waveney village character of Wortwell would be destroyed by development on this scale. The village has already welcomed several sympathetic developments over recent years.
