Respondent: Mr Jason Masala

Representation Summary:

I support the plan if it is purely recreational. It must not include a housing development.

The plan must not cause extensive damage or disruption to the area and environment, nor increase traffic flow.

The proposal must have the backing of the residents and council and must not include building companies such as Quantum.

It is a more realistic proposal than the one put forward by Quantum to build houses and will impact the school, doctors, environment and traffic less.

Full text:

I agree with the vast majority of this proposal as it looks to be in the best interests of the residents of Brundall. The village needs more open recreational space, while the housing quotas for the area have already been met.

I object wholly to the building of any housing estates on this land. The village cannot cope with yet another development. The recent new builds in the Brundall area have put a great strain on traffic, the school and the local doctors. The village cannot sustain another development.

If the land is to be used - as suggested by Ms Sharon Smyth - then I hope it is purely recreational and a space where residents can enjoy some open space, rather than the miniscule 'Country Park' proposed by the Quantum building group as an appeasement for their unpopular housing proposal.

Any recreational development as well needs to be designed with minimum disruption to the current site and residents. The scenic views (popular with locals) must be maintained and the landscape (trees, dykes, hedgerows) must not be destroyed. Any plan like this must be carefully thought through and with the backing of residents and the Parish Council.

Kind regards

Jason Masala
