Representation Summary:

it is too close to ecologically important areas
Mack's Lane is an important and safe place used by increasing numbers of the Taverham residence for walking, bird watching and enjoying the local landscape.
Access to the site would be challenging, putting greater pressure on Taverham Road, and would probably cause the adoption of Mack's Lane, widening it causing further loss of visual and utility amenity and requiring the use of public funds that could be better spent in other areas.
The are better areas available for the sustainable development of the area.

The site is clearly wrong for several reasons, the main being:
The proximity to land of specific scientific interest and special area of conservation
It would set a precedent to development outside the boundary for the southerly part of the village and put increasing pressure on wildlife. It could also put increasing pressure on the viability of a farm in the area and would therefore lead to a permanent change in the landscape enjoyed by all. GNLP0337 and GNLP0419 are considerably better positioned to not infringe areas of sites of specific scientific interest or special areas of conservation. They have close access to road networks that permit swift transport for local and longer journeys. They are also large enough to permit the development of new schools, shops and other services (such as dentists and doctor's surgeries), which are all over-subscribed in Taverham at present. These are areas which are more conducive to the sustainable development of the local area.
