This site lies lower than the road, and I have seen the road flooded 3-4 times with a foot of water running down Street to the ford, since living here. The site is on the former river bed. Better higher sites in development boudary on opposite side of road. New Council houses on high ground. Many detatched properties unsold. No mains sewerage. Untreated sewage often in ditch/beck along street already. This would be 40 % more houses along Street. No schools/ shop/pub. Limited bus services. Site too small for 7 houses - not rural character - see Policy 16 JCS.
