This area of land is sandwiched between 2 roads - the A140 with its incessant traffic and Manor Road with ever increasing traffic.
Access to Manor Road is either from the A140 at Newton St Faith or from Norwich Road in Horsham St Faith. Neither of these access points is suitable for more traffic. Manor Road is already treated as a rat run with most drivers disregarding the 30 mph limit and any new developments will only exacerbate the issues. In terms of facilities, Newton St Faith has 2 car repair centres: The Mini Farm on Newton Street and Crown Garage on Manor Road, a mobile Post Office and that is all. It shares a community centre with Horsham St Faith and also shares a primary school and Doctors surgery with surrounding villages. Any new development (of more than 1-2 properties) will put more pressure on these facilities and condemn the village to another ugly area of housing which is becoming prevalent in Broadland. Newton St Faith is already a 'strong, vibrant and healthy' community and any new development will not improve the lives of the residents but on the contrary will have a detrimental effect on those living in the village who enjoy the rural nature of the area. Even though the village is serviced by Sanders buses, these are infrequent and the vast majority of residents use their own car(s) for travelling. This village is surrounded by large scale development in areas such as Horsford, Hellesdon, Spixworth, Aylsham etc and I feel it completely unwarranted to further develop this village
