The development of this site with its proposed access onto Taverham Road near Orchard Bank would lead to a huge increase in traffic along an extremely busy, narrow road, which has poor sight-lines and numerous bends, and where local residents already find it difficult to safely enter and exit their properties. It would also make it even more hazardous to join Fakenham Road from Taverham Road. The site's proximity to the Wensum, which is an SSSI, would lead to loss of wildlife, increased run-off and flooding, and set an unwelcome precedent for future developments beyond the current settlement line.
