Other specified sites in the village are for ten to fifteen houses. This site is considerably bigger, potentially for many more houses than has been stated by the land owner. If ten large properties were built, it wouldn't address issues around affordable housing.
At 6.4Ha, this site would alter the footprint of the village and compromise the rural feel. It would also increase the damage to the environment and local wildlife.
High Road is narrow and lacks footpaths,thus increasing the danger to its users from increased traffic. There are potential risks of damage to the area from heavy construction vehicles.
