I am a Broadland District Councillor for this site.
There is hardly any green space left in Hellesdon for use of our residents. This site, if given over in all or part to housing, would take away the one remaining area of open space of any appreciable size. It should be retained in its entirety for public use, particularly as residents living on the Eastern side of the parish have to cross two major roads to access leisure facilities.
Additionally the road infrastructure is such that more housing would create bottlenecks in Brabazon Road / Cromer Road or Fifers Lane.
