Draft Local Plan-Part 2 Site Allocations

Representation ID: 19884

Received: 09/02/2020

Respondent: Mr Alan Harper

Representation Summary:

(Representation changed from object to support as respondent appears to support the use of site for public recreation as proposed under site GNLP1021)
Hellesdon is a growing parish. A consequence of an increasing population is the need, and demand, for green spaces to which the public has access for recreation and leisure pursuits. Hellesdon already suffers from a shortage of such green spaces. The land in question was used for many years for recreation purposes. Since its closure to the public about 3 years ago, the public has been deprived of one of a diminishing number of green spaces in this part of Hellesdon. I urge Jarrolds, site owner, to rethink their plans and preserve the entirety of this plot to public access.
