Draft Local Plan-Part 2 Site Allocations
Representation ID: 20066
Received: 23/02/2020
Respondent: MR Marlon Fulcher
The representation says “this would be a reasonable proposal IF additional housing is required”. It clearly is not, Hellesdon’s housing stock is already due to grow by over 25% with a massive undersupply of formal recreation space already (Broadland Policy RL1). Broadland now has its 5 year land supply and every last piece of free green space in Hellesdon is being built on. Access to Cromer Road is already difficult, this will exacerbate the problem, and multiply health impacts/poor air quality due to traffic backing up. In short this is the wrong place for further housing development.
