Draft Local Plan-Part 2 Site Allocations

Representation ID: 20138

Received: 27/02/2020

Respondent: Mr Greg Peck

Representation Summary:

This would adversely affect the rural nature of Honingham and the heritage assets of the village. The village cannot adequately cope with further housing as it has very limited infrastructure of road networks and has no village shop, no doctor’s surgery or school. There are few job opportunities in the area so the inhabitants of these proposed houses, would have to commute to Norwich or elsewhere, adding to further traffic congestion. The drainage in this area is already under stress as flooding on the Dereham Road has become a significant issue and further housing would only exacerbate the problem.
