Representation Summary:

The current infrastructure would not be able to cope with more housing. The road in not wide enough to facilitate more traffic and is already a danger for pedestrians with large lorries and agricultural vehicles. The Street is always prone to flooding with streams unable to deal with run off from fields. Anglian water's pumping house for the sewage is also at full capacity. No public transport runs through Fersfield, the village also has a lack of amenities such as shops, schools, pubs & medical services. Although there is a need for affordable housing this site is NOT suitable.

Representation Summary:

The sites identified in the village of Fersfield would have a large impact on the environment. Loss of greenbelt, increased CO2 from traffic and light pollution to name a few. Power and phone are all on overhead cables. The sewage plant is near capacity. Flooding regularly occurs here. The road is an old airfield access road which is very narrow places. There is no school and no public transport. Nearest amenities are 2 and half miles away.

Representation Summary:

I am disabled and live opposite the two proposed sites. I feel trapped inside my own home due to the danger posed by heavy goods and agricultural vehicles using the road. Vehicles often drive up on the verges to enable them to pass each other. There are no footpaths and the road is not safe for pedestrians to use. The road also floods increasing the dangers for pedestrians.
It is impossible for me to get to any events in the village without someone taking me by car

Representation Summary:

One of my daughters is disabled and feels trapped at home because the road is so unsafe for her. We are all regular cyclists, cycling into Diss to catch trains on a regular basis. My other daughter cant drive, it is the only way she can get there independently. it is really important the main road is safe and not full of speeding traffic who block the road, the width of the road is not wide enough for traffic to pass. It is also essential that services which are in Bressingham - shop, village hall and school are easily accessible.

Representation Summary:

I strongly object to these development proposals. I regularly cycle to the train station in Diss and have had several near misses caused by speeding traffic using the narrow lanes. Agricultural vehicles and HGV's make use of the verges to pass each other and are ruining many of the verges in the village.
The proposals would increase traffic and air pollution due to the remote location.

These are greenfield sites served by poor roads that already have serious issues for pedestrians and cyclists. They do not comply with the requirements for sustainability due to distance from services. There would be a negative and un reversible impact on the environment.

Representation Summary:

An obvious lack of amenities, sewage and drainage issues make these sites unsuitable for proposed development. There are no pavements and the roads are already dangerous, especially for pedestrians. Increased number of cars and therefore pollution will create more issues for residents .

Representation Summary:

We are writing to object to the proposed housing development in Bressingham. This land has been used for growing crops on so why now houses? The roads in this area are struggling to cope and the amenities (doctors, dentists and schools) are also stretched to breaking point. The environmental and ecological harm is out of proportion with size the village will become if this goes through and the aged population will find the increased traffic exceptionally hard to cope with. We know we have to move forward but this scheme is like trying to pour a litre into a pint pot.

Lack of essential infrastructure available for development site. Amenities too far away so increased pollution from cars used to access shops, doctors, schools. No public transport. Dangerous road with heavy vehicle use will increase hazardous conditions for pedestrians and cyclists.

Representation Summary:

I write to point out the sites proposed for development in Bressingham are inappropriate for the following reasons
1 Common Road/ High Road -too large for the village.
2 Memorial cross road -this would increase congestion near to the school.
3 School Road -this would be further linear development..
4 A 1066 -dangerous entrance and exit on to a fast major road.
